Sustained suppression
Countries that acted earlier and tested more widely have limited COVID-19 outbreaks. Mild measures seemed to suffice. For those countries that responded late, harsher measures needed to be adopted. Further outbreaks are inevitable. Governments ought to implement a range of public health measures aided by technology, including wide and frequent testing.
